Curriculum Focus:Pattern Making, Sewing, & DIY Fashion Projects

  • Week 1: Dive into fabric types and how to choose them for different designs. Learn basic pattern-making and hand-sewing techniques. Start creating small projects like bags, pouches, or embellished T-shirts.

  • Week 2: Focus on garment construction by cutting fabric, sewing with the machine, and adding decorative elements like buttons or embroidery. Work on finalizing a simple garment (e.g., skirt or top) and practice runway walking for the final fashion show.

Materials Included:
Fabric swatches, sewing supplies, sketchbooks, and all materials for upcycling and DIY projects. Each student will receive a camp kit to take home.

End-of-Camp Showcase:

All students will participate in a fashion show where they can present their work to family and friends.
