Curriculum Focus:Creative Play & Simple Sewing Techniques

  • Week 1: Explore different fabric types and textures through hands-on activities. Introduce basic hand-sewing skills, and learn how to cut simple fabric shapes. Start creating small projects like fabric bookmarks, coasters, and headbands.

  • Week 2: Learn basic garment construction by cutting fabric for small accessories or simple garments. Focus on machine-sewing introduction and creating fun, wearable items like simple pouches or skirts. End the camp with a mini fashion show to showcase their creations.

Materials Included:
Fabric swatches, sewing supplies, sketchbooks, and all materials for upcycling and DIY projects. Each student will receive a camp kit to take home.

End-of-Camp Showcase:

All students will participate in a fashion show where they can present their work to family and friends.
